Laos Projects

Laos, often called Southeast Asia's hidden gem, charms travelers with its serene temples, lush jungles, and the laid-back beauty of Luang Prabang. Adventurers love river kayaking, trekking, and visiting stunning waterfalls like Kuang Si.

Laos remains one of Southeast Asia’s poorest countries, with nearly 23 percent of people living on less than national poverty levels. Approximately 70 percent of NGO programs rely on local funding and tourism-related income, leaving just 30 percent covered by international grants. In remote provinces, schools frequently see 1:50 teacher–student ratios and serious healthcare accessibility issues. Volunteers engaged in literacy, health outreach, and community development are essential to strengthening these fragile services.
