Centro de Acopio para la Tarahumara (CAPTAR A.C.) is an organization that supports community projects that seek the well-being of indigenous and mestizo groups in extreme poverty and marginalization in the Sierra Tarahumara, respecting their culture and worldview. Their main project is o bring sustainable access to safe drinking water through rainwater harvesting, a system for collecting and storing rainwater on the roof of houses. The water is then transported, filtered, and finally concentrated in a special storage tank, keeping it away from light and air, thereby preventing the growth of microorganisms.
