Bhutan Projects
Bhutan, known as the "Land of the Thunder Dragon," offers majestic monasteries, breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, and a strong sense of tradition and happiness. It’s a dream for travelers seeking peace and authenticity.
Although Bhutan has reduced its national poverty rate to around 8 percent, rural communities—especially in eastern districts—see poverty exceeding 20 percent. Over 70 percent of NGO funding comes from foreign grants. Conservation NGOs are safeguarding endangered Himalayan species, and primary education and health campaigns in mountain villages remain undersupported. Volunteers in environment and education sectors are greatly needed.
