Organization Description:

QMed Knowledge Foundation is an organization working to train health sciences students, faculty, practitioners and researchers in the art of structured online searching and referencing. They noticed a lack of systematic training that taught medical professionals to research, and sought to change this. Over the past decade, they have conducted hundreds of workshops, launched an online course, and created an expansive medical library on their website. Their mission is to enable health professionals, institutions, patients and health consumers working in the health care sector, to obtain the best evidence from systematic research, in order to ensure accurate delivery and availability of optimal health care services. In the future, they hope to also help the public to be more equipped with knowledge about their health conditions in order to have the right dialogues with their doctors and receive better healthcare.
