Nigeria Projects
Nigeria draws travelers with its vibrant culture, music, and food, alongside stunning natural sites such as Zuma Rock, Yankari National Park, and the bustling megacity of Lagos. Its diverse traditions and energetic spirit make it one of Africa’s most dynamic destinations.
Yet, Nigeria faces persistent development challenges. About 40 percent of the population lives below the national poverty line, with higher rates in northern rural regions. NGOs rely on international donors for nearly 75 percent of their funding, as domestic philanthropy remains limited. Education gaps are stark, with over 10 million children out of school, while healthcare systems struggle with shortages of trained staff and facilities. Volunteers engaged in literacy programs, community health outreach, and youth empowerment initiatives are crucial to expanding opportunities and improving quality of life.
