Refugee Coalition for Climate Action (RCCA) is an organization with a mission of delivering informative and well-oriented young people from refugee and host communities to raise the bar in climate and environmental response. They have 6 main objectives:

  • Environment Protection: To positively impact the natural environment in the refugee and the host community through physical environment protection and restoration.

  • Community Engagement: To foster positive engagement between displaced people and their host communities to build knowledge that paves climate and environmental resilience.

  • Food Security: To expedite Fruit tree-based systems to ensure food security and nutrition for the refugee and the host community

  • Environment Restoration:To champion environmental restoration to revive our natural environment

  • Climate Dialogue: To create dialogue on climate and environmental resilience

  • Gender Equality: To facilitate climate justice using women and girls' leadership

Skilled Volunteer Project Description:

  • Fundraising and Communication Support: Aid to secure sustainable funding, increase visibility, and reach more supporters.

  • Grant Proposal Training: Hands-on training to build internal capacity in writing strong, competitive grant proposals. They also require support in structuring proposals, aligning with funder priorities, and crafting compelling narratives.

  • Skills-Building Workshops: Trainings in leadership, communication, and project management for their staff

  • Website Development: Help improving their site to be more professional and better support fundraising, storytelling, and donor engagement.
