Zimbabwe Projects
Zimbabwe captivates visitors with its stunning natural wonders, from the majestic Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park’s abundant wildlife. Adventure travelers explore safaris, hiking in the Eastern Highlands, and boat rides along the Zambezi River, while history enthusiasts marvel at the ancient stone ruins of Great Zimbabwe. Warm hospitality, vibrant traditions, and breathtaking scenery make Zimbabwe a memorable destination for travelers seeking both culture and adventure.
Despite its beauty, Zimbabwe faces steep development challenges. Nearly 40 percent of the population lives below the national poverty line, with rural communities hit hardest by drought and food insecurity. International donors provide about 45 percent of NGO funding, but economic instability and inflation have reduced both local giving and government support. Healthcare remains strained, with shortages of doctors and medicines, while schools in rural areas often operate with teacher–student ratios exceeding 1:55. Volunteers supporting healthcare, food security, and education programs are vital for strengthening community resilience and improving access to essential services.
